對于上面三個問題,本人作出自己個人的見解,有誤之處請指正。
Question1
Both sentences are correct (I think) but the first one is the one most people would say. Nobody really says the second one. If you must choose one, choose the first.
Question2
This sentence should be 'the same size as ours'.
Question3
Thousands on thousands (or thousands upon thousands, this is actually the way I have heard it, just means many, many of something, or actually thousands or even millions and billions.
Here is an example of how to use it: (talking about cleaning the house)
There are thousands upon thousands of things left to do before 7 o'clock.
OR There are thousands upon thousands of stars in the sky.
Using both 'upon' and 'on' are correct.
